Guest Room Host

The Guest Room Host is responsible for welcoming our Guests to an environment of cleanliness and friendliness by cleaning guest rooms and common areas of the Hotel to Company and Brand Standards and providing cheerful hospitality to all who stay with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Brand Standards and Company policies and procedures.

  • Understand Company goals and help achieve them.

  • Project a cheerful, responsive attitude toward co-workers, management, and Guests.

  • Establish and promote an environment of Cleanliness and Friendliness to Hotel Guests, always offering courteous and sincere hospitality.

  • Maintain a teachable attitude.

  • Is ready to begin work at scheduled time. 

  • Adhere to Company dress code.

  • Is well groomed and maintains appropriate personal hygiene. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of Guests and Company.

  • Maintain clean, organized work area and equipment.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with management and staff.

  • Is trustworthy, honest, and reliable.

  • Use good judgment and common sense.

  • Maintain a safe, secure environment for Guests and staff.

  • Understands the potential hazards of chemicals used for cleaning, and follows BBP, OSHA, and HazCom 2012 standards.

  • Use personal protective equipment as directed by the Material Safety Data Sheets.

  • Follow instructions from management.

  • Clean Guest rooms and common areas to Brand Standards and Company policies and procedures.

  • Complete laundry duties as instructed.

  • Manage cleaning supply inventory.

  • Communicate supply inventory par levels to management.

  • Communicate Guest needs and concerns to management and staff.

  • Take scheduled call time for Room Host callouts or unanticipated need.

  • Complete all documentation required by management.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

 

Physical Demands

 

  • Able to safely lift and carry 30 lbs.

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

  • Able to repetitively bend, kneel, squat, reach, pull, push items up to 30 lbs.

  • Able to take on physically challenging duties.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Work authorization:  United States (Required)

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Reliable, consistent, and serious about the task at hand.

  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
